Myself along many parents around the world stress about whether or not they are doing all they can to advance their babies and toddlers to reach their growth milestones sooner rather than later. This is no different with their interest and progress in reading, writing and speaking developments. Not only is reading to your baby a fantastic bonding and route experience it also helps stimulation, teaching them how to communicate, listen and understand the world around them through words.
Concept building with letters, words, shapes and numbers helps pave the path for greater communication success. One thing that all parents around the world can agree on is that reading and introducing you little one to books at the earliest age possible is best.
This blog is to share my all time favorite baby and toddler books that I fell in love with while raising my little girl through all her unique stages. Please keep in mind all the books listed below are my recommendations and are not sponsored in any way.

Black and white printed books are amazing for helping babies develope visual stimulation with high-contrast images as babies begin to make visual connections with the world around them. These wordless picture books for the youngest of readers are sure to capture the interest and attention of babies everywhere. The use of black and white shapes with bold colors creates stimulating patterns that babies love. Sturdy board books with rounded corners. Any "Touch and Feel" Book
By: DK Publishing
There are so many variations of touch and feel books published my DK so here are some of my favorite ones (below)
Touch and feel books are great for advancing your wee little baby to the next level in the world of reading. With adding another one of their senses into ready helps them connect their visual sense to their physical feeling sense. Allowing them to feel the soft sensation of the intended animal help draw their attention to reading. The highly durable board pages help support teething damage as well. ;)

The Book With No Pictures
By: B.J. Novak
A #1 New York Times bestseller, this innovative and wildly funny read-aloud by award-winning humorist/actor B.J. Novak will turn any reader into a comedian.
You might think a book with no pictures seems boring and serious. Except . . . here’s how books work. Everything written on the page has to be said by the person reading it aloud. Even if the words say . . .BLORK. Or BLUURF.
Even if the words are a preposterous song about eating ants for breakfast, or just a list of astonishingly goofy sounds like BLAGGITY BLAGGITY and GLIBBITY GLOBBITY.
Cleverly irreverent and irresistibly silly, The Book with No Pictures is one that kids will beg to hear again and again. (And parents will be happy to oblige.)
These flashcards are my quick sit down literatur dose of fun right now. When we are out all day and come home late with little time to sit with our little one and read a night time story I pull out these flash cards and flip through the entire stack with in 10 minutes.
As I go through each card I explain what the item is on the card, what color it is, its purpose and if applicable what sound it would make. This allows the little to connect sound, color and function of all sorts of objects we simply forget to explain through our daily routines. Each card is a thick board with a kind of gloss protecting the paper so again teething is covered. ;)

The Potty Book
(Girl & Boy Versions)
By: Alyssa Satin Capucilli
Every little boy or girl's graduation from diapers to the potty is always a very important moment--and one to make both parents and toddlers proud! In The Potty Book, Henry/Hannah needs to have his/her diapers changed so they can go out and play. Then mom and dad bring home a big box, and Henry/Hannah is anxious to open it up and see what's inside. Is it a rocking chair? A bed for Teddy? No, it's a potty--which means that it's time for Henry/Hannah to graduate from his/her diapers.
This gentle and humorous little story is charmingly illustrated and told in verse. Little boys and girls will enjoy looking at the pictures and having the story read to them. Meanwhile, they'll start getting the idea that it's time for them to grow up, exactly like Henry/Hannah. So that at last, they'll be able to say--"I'm off the potty!"

The Little Boy Or Girl Who Lost Their Name
Each name tells a different story - As if by magic, the story changes based on the letters of a child’s name. So a kid called Charlie might meet a Chameleon, Hippo, Aardvark, Robot, Lobster, Imp and Elephant. The story will be as unique as their name.
I made Mia (my daughter one while I was pregnant and still to this day I love it! It so unique and creative at any age group can enjoy it! Plus who doesn't love anything that is customizable!
There you have it! All my favorite baby and toddler books for specific ages and occasions all in one spot. I would LOVE to hear below in the comments what books you absolutely love and recommend to read with your little ones as there is no such thing as too many books!
